Meet the characters
Every character has their own strengths, worries, humour and way of contributing to the adventure.
Tom
Tom is warm, curious, honest and brave enough to admit when something feels difficult. His wheelchair is part of how he moves through the world — and sometimes the beginning of his most imaginative machines.
Sarah
Sarah notices details, records what Tom says and helps make sure people listen to him without speaking over him. She is bright, protective, playful and sometimes a little too curious.
Ben
Ben brings energy, questions and loyalty. He learns with Tom, not about him from a distance, and knows the best adventures need everybody’s ideas.
Mum
Mum helps Tom see that the world is still being drawn — and that he can help shape what it becomes.
Dad
Dad knows that strength is not about never feeling unsure. It is about helping people, working together and taking the next safe step.
Grandpa
Grandpa never rushes a conversation. He listens first, asks thoughtful questions and reminds everyone that the best answers often begin with curiosity.
The universe keeps growing
Each new character should have a genuine personality and role in the story — never appear only to represent a diagnosis or teach a lesson.
